About us

Anne Delmee

Midwife since 1991. BIG 39032581203

In the first three years after graduating, I gained experience at various midwifery practices. I’ve been working at the Tongelre Midwifery Practice since 1994, so quite a few Tongelre babies have been born in my care. Since 2019, we’ve been known as Lichtstad.

After high school, I worked as an au pair in France for a year. As a result, in addition to English and German, we can also offer French as a language of communication if desired. I am also a mother of three children: Ward (1995), Elles (1997), and Rens (2000). I enjoy spending my free time with them. I also love reading, screen printing, and working with clay.

Sabine Rutjens

Midwife since 2019, BIG 19925360303

Ever since I was young, I’ve dreamed of pursuing this wonderful profession. In 2019, that dream became a reality when I graduated as a midwife. After completing my studies, I worked at various practices across the country and completed training in obstetric ultrasound. I joined this friendly team in January 2022 and have been working at this practice ever since.

What I love about our profession is that we support our clients through their transition to parenthood at various stages—before, during, and after childbirth. For me, the birth itself is the icing on the cake of my work. I believe it’s important to incorporate your wishes as clients into the care I provide. Hopefully, together we can make this a wonderful experience!

Connie Laarakkers

Midwife since 2006, BIG 19065704603

At the age of 26, I finally figured it out: I wanted to become a midwife. After finishing high school, I had completed a degree at the NHTV (University of Applied Sciences for Tourism and Transport). Following a few years of traveling and working in various countries, I was looking for a profession that would offer me greater fulfillment. The career counselor I consulted did an excellent job, as they sparked my interest in midwifery. After shadowing a midwife for a few days, I knew for certain: this was it. Once I passed my state exams in chemistry and biology, I was fortunate enough to be accepted through the selection process on my first attempt. When I graduated four years later, I couldn’t have been happier—and 19 years on, I still feel exactly the same way. In the years immediately following my graduation, I worked as a locum midwife across various practices in and around Eindhoven, and in 2009, I became a partner in the practice in Tongelre. In 2011 and 2014, I experienced pregnancy myself and became a mother to Rens and Fedde; this, in turn, has further enriched my professional practice.

It is a wonderful process to work with you, as expectant parents, to determine what kind of care best suits your needs—what you expect from us and how we can best support you. There is such a diverse range of people, each with their own unique wishes, which I find endlessly fascinating. One aspect of my profession that I truly value is that we are always directly reachable via our on-call phone. Being able to put someone at ease during a home visit, or to arrange additional care when it’s needed—that is precisely the kind of fulfillment I mentioned earlier. So, if you have any questions, please give us a call—that’s what we’re here for.

Roos de Boer

Midwife since 2018, BIG 19924273303

I am Roos de Boer. While looking for a ‘plan B’ in case I wasn’t accepted into medical school, I discovered the midwifery program. ‘This is it!’ I thought immediately. I graduated as a midwife in 2018, and I enjoy this wonderful profession every single day. Since graduating, I have worked at various practices in the region, and in 2021, I completed my training in sonography (ultrasound). Starting in January 2025, I will be joining the team at Lichtstad.

I love watching beautiful pregnant bellies grow during every check-up, and ultimately getting to meet the little human who has been growing inside. It is a magical process, and my goal is for women to be able to look back on their own journey with pride. I am happy to support you and think along with you throughout this experience. See you at the practice!
